Ceri Environmental Consulting Ltd was formed in 2003 by Clare Walters and Steve Barker to provide environmental consultancy services. As specialists in waste management Clare and Steve work largely within the waste management sector but increasingly provide consultancy services to a wider range of businesses such as farmers diversify into green waste composting and small businesses wishing to undertake waste recycling as part of their wider business activities.

We pride ourselves on providing a professional service to clients by being able to respond quickly and providing the right solution to the client's needs. The type of work we undertake is tailored to the client's need and budgets and ranges from advising on registering waste management exemptions to full Pollution Prevention Control (PPC) applications.

As a small company, clients deal directly with the directors in the knowledge that the work will be carried out by the directors, or through specialist contractors for work that we do not personally undertake.

Clients are always advised how and who will carry out the work on their behalf. Both Steve and Clare have many years experience within the waste industry and through this we have gained a broad range of expertise along with a large number of contacts which enable us to find the solutions our clients need.

By keeping overheads low we are able to keep costs to a minimum whilst while maintaining the highest standards of quality of work, which is completed on time and within budget.

CLARE WALTERS - Director

Clare has 13 years experience as a regulator and working in consultancy. Clare has a strong legislative background and has managed a number of waste licensing and PPC projects. Clare has used her experience to provide advice to clients from the Environment Agency to small family run businesses. Her main areas of expertise are -

STEVE BARKER - Director

BSc ( Hons ) Geology

Steve has 15 years experience in the waste management sector both as a regulator and in industry. Steve was Technical Manager for a Waste Management Company and has also managed a Waste Recycling Centre. Steve has managed the setting up of several facilities and as a consultant has assisted clients on legislative, practical and financial matters. His main areas of expertise are -
